Glaucoma
Glaucoma is an insidious disease that can cause painless, progressive loss of a person’s peripheral vision. Untreated and undiagnosed, it can lead to “tunnel vision” and eventually complete blindness. There are many variants of glaucoma. Dr Warrier has extensive experience in diagnosing the various subtypes of glaucoma and offering the appropriate treatment. This may include regular eye drops, laser or even surgery in severe cases. Dr Warrier offers all types of glaucoma surgery and will discuss the options with you if you require such an intervention. Sometimes it may be possible to combine your cataract surgery with the glaucoma operation and limit how many times you need to go to hospital. In many instances, he will co-manage your condition with your optometrist whenever possible.
